This blog is named from a quote by J.M. Barrie: “The life of every man is a book, in which he means to write one story, and writes another.”
I dearly love to observe, and this blog is where I share those observations with you. And because my favorite thing to observe is life (mine, and those around me), I may frequently be writing another story than the one I meant to write.
Writing Another Story is not a personal journal of my life, but I do have a way of seeping into what I write, so be forewarned. 
This is a blog for sharing opinions, observations, and ideas about everything and the kitchen sink. You’ll find things like links to other places on the web (and my commentary, of course); opinions on books and movies; tidbits of my own creative writing; and the occasional Controversial Post.
